Documents necessary in applying for a mortgage credit
The mortgage credit is destined to the acquisition of buildings (lands, houses, apartments), the construction, expansion or modernization of buildings.
Documents necessary to contract a credit:
• Identity card (copy and original) for the applicant and codebtor (if it is the case)
• Marriage certificate (if it is the case)
• Salary certificate
• Documents regarding other credits
• Copies of the acts of property upon the building the applicant wants to acquisition by credit
• Previous sale-purchasing contract
• Credit application
Documents required by banks vary, some need more other less.
An important number of Romanian citizens working abroad are interested in the acquisition of a dwelling in the country. Banks from the Romanian market have therefore elaborated the mortgage credit destined to the Romanian people working outside the border.
 
To apply for a mortgage credit if you work abroad you will need the following acts regardless of the bank chosen:
• residence license issued by the specific authorities;
• working license issued by the specific authorities
• identity card and passport, to assert citizenship;
• contract/contracts/work conventions closed for an undetermined/determined period translated and legalized;
• salary certificate translated and legalized (at least on 3 months, but it can also be required for 6 months);
• fiscal statement issued by the specific authority  with apostile, translated and legalized.

There is an important number of banks on the market that offer mortgage credits.
We suggest that before deciding for a certain bank you study well the market and be careful at the details given by your consultants.
